The idea behind the Entrepreneurship program was to get middle and high school students to learn about business concepts and build a business plan. Career Hub partnered with the Shooting Stars Foundation, a 501(3)C non-profit to organize the Entrepreneurship program at AMGEN’s office in Tampa. The weeklong program engaged around 30 students in grades 7-12 from the Tampa Bay area and the students were introduce to different aspects of business by the AMGEN professionals - from ideation, product design, marketing, technology, finance and presentation. The teams pitched their business idea on the final day in a Shark Tank format to a panel of judges from AMGEN. The program impacted over 150 students in 2 years as the Entrepreneurship program grew from 30 students in 2022 to 116 students in 2023.
